Flywheels

Flywheels are made using our in house design service, machined from castings ‘poured’ in proven UK foundries utilising our own patterns...

We have a massive selection of casting patterns, covering everything from the Bristol coach through to the Liebherr cranes and Volvo B12 coaches.

Machined in our factory, using either CNC technology, or for ‘one off’ items conventional lathes. All 100% in housed balanced.

With ring gears / spigot bearings fitted, as required by the client.

We are able to offer a quality, cost saving regrind service on your own flywheel, or if its ‘too far gone’ we can offer an insert service, where a plate is made and balanced and fitted to the old flywheel which is then rebalanced as a set....this is time proved ‘old fashioned’ engineering, originally used fresh off the production line by such engineers as Leyland and AEC where they supplied all new models complete with flywheel face plates / saver plates.

Wear plates for some older applications that were originally factory fit are available to special order, just ask for details.
